Bees store just about all that they need to live, except for
water. It is nice if you can make sure your bees have a source
of water near their hive, they don't have to spend so much
time and use so many bees to fetch it . It is amazing where
they get that water from....
... and beekeepers can be sooooooo creative! A little plastic bowl
can keep a sponge from sinking to the bottom of a rain barrel.
Some rocks in the bottom of a birdbath, for example. And leave
the leaves (pun intended!) They make an easy escape for a bee
who slips...
... and the footing can be precarious on a small garden fountain.
And they might have to
share the bubbler with
others...
