Pickens County Beekeepers Assn Meeting

Opening comments by Dwight Porter, President
Thanks to Lonnie Alverson for meeting snacks

Intro of guests (two this meeting)

No old business to discuss

New:
1. We will have a sign-in sheet at each meeting to
confirm attendance numbers.

2. We updated names/phone numbers/e-mail
addresses on our member list and will present to
members at next meeting.

3. There will be no join SC-NC meeting this year;
the SC Spring Meeting will be in Columbia in
March and the NC Meeting will be in Burlington;
details to follow next month.

4. The Georgia State Meeting will be held Feb 1st
and 2nd. Info is on their website.

Guest Speaker:
Skip Still, DNR Black Bears and Bees
His major suggestion: Anyone who keeps bees in
Pickens, Greenville, Oconee, Anderson, or
Spartanburg Counties should put up electric fence
because the bears will come.
