BEARS and Bees 2
This is the damage
done to Mary's hives
by a bear.  They set up
a wildlife camera after
they cleaned it up and
took pictures of him
when he came back for
seconds the next night.
They don't know when
exactly it hit them first,
but it was within about
a week-week and a
half.
Needless to say, the bees
were gone.
You can see
how the bear
flipped over
one of her
stands (upper
right corner of
the page).  He
dragged some
of the frames
off into the
woods, too.
These hives were
located of Jameson
Road, about a mile from
the Hwy 183 junction.
She had them there to
pollinate strawberries.
